“White Tower” – the emblem of Thessaloniki

Selanik 012

The white tower was built during the 15th century as a fortification construction. Originally it was named ‘’lion’s tower’’. Today is used as a museum. It consists of 6 floors. It’s height is 34 meters and it’s peripheral is 70 meters.

You must have probably seen the white tower in some magazines, travel guides, cart postal or movies even before your visit to the city. So now is the chance for you to visit and explore it as well as enjoy the view while drinking your coffee or tea on the cafeteria upstairs.
